The Multi Engine Rating is undertaken in the PA44 Seminole. We have two PA44 Seminoles on our fleet G-TWIN and G-BHFE. They are both de-iced and airways equipped.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

An applicant for a class rating for a single pilot multi engine aeroplane shall have completed at least 70 hours as pilot in command of aeroplanes.

COURSE CONTENT

The course consists of :

• 7 hours theoretical knowledge instruction in multi-engine operation and 6 hours flight training to include the following :
  
  
• At least 2 hours and 30 minutes dual flight training under normal conditions of multi-engine aeroplane operation and;
  
  
• At least 3 hours and 30 minutes dual flight training in engine failure procedures and asymmetric flight techniques.
  
  
• In addition, a multi choice written examination will be sat and passed comprising questions relating to multi-engine operations and aircraft type related questions. Training will culminate in a multi engine skill test being carried out satisfactorily.
